Abstract

What is the problem?
Good quality housing is important for good health. People who live in homes that are cold, damp, overcrowded, or unsafe are more likely to have health problems. They can also find it harder to manage any long-term health issues they live with.
People working in the NHS, local government and other related services understand that where we live can affect our health. They also know that working together makes it easier to provide the help people need. This support can vary over time and may include repairs or adaptations that make a home easier to live in. But working together can be difficult when people work for different organisations. We wanted to find out more about how and when collaboration happens in practice and what works well.
