Abstract

The RCR states that: "all imaging departments should have protocols for each common clinical situation. [...]no definite recommendations are given about this aspect"19.The RCR are more interested in maximum information to give minimum radiation, not giving a definitive influence over the projections used or the technique to achieve the projections18,19. [...]the researcher recommends where possible, that projections with techniques that are considered more specialist (orWB), as previously discussed Jayatilaka et al, be used on GP patients therefore eliminating the duplication of workload, radiation dose, time and cost36.
