Abstract

the NHS Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme gained four points for stating that they acquire their measurements axially, take the transverse AP diameter, measure using ITI methods and select the largest of the maximum internal diameters. [...]a universally agreed standard is created, consistency in each trust is key in the performing and reporting of AAA ultrasound examinations.
