Abstract
This report outlines an evaluation of the Suffolk Domestic Abuse Champions (SDAC) Network, conducted by University of Suffolk researchers. Working in partnership with Suffolk County Council(SCC), the researchers conducted a social value analysis of the programme, utilising quantitative and qualitative analysis of secondary data sources and online survey feedback. This research has also been supported by the Domestic Abuse Research Network (DARNet). The aim was to identify programme outcomes, create a theory of change framework and engage in a social value analysis to assess the programme’s potential economic impact. SCC inaugurated its Champions Network in June 2019. The project’s aim is to mount a “consistent response to Domestic Abuse across Suffolk”, ensuring that victim-survivors across the county feel able to disclose, and can access the support they need, as early as possible (Ipswich and East Suffolk CCG, 2019). The SDAC Network began operating in June 2019 and has trained 230 Champions to date.
