Abstract

Jane Watt co-curated HERE exhibition with artist Clare Palmier celebrating new and recent work by emerging and established contemporary artists with a strong connection to Suffolk and East Anglia. It took place in summer 2021 and launched The Art Station’s new space throughout the first floor in the former post office building in Saxmundham, Suffolk.

Twenty-five artists with a diverse range of practices that reflect contemporary engagement with materials, process and ideas installed work across 5500 sq ft of the previously disused 1950s industrial building. Works include site-specific installation, sound, video, AI, photography, drawing, painting, ceramic, sculpture and performance. I also exhibited work Wash my Hands for the exhibition

The project was supported by East Anglia Art Fund and Arts Council England.
